We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to manage and optimize our enterprise Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Snowflake administration, security, governance, automation, performance tuning, and cost optimization while partnering with Data Engineering, Analytics, Security, and Cloud teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and resource monitors.
- Manage security, RBAC, data masking, row-level security, and governance controls.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor platform performance, usage, and costs; drive optimization initiatives.
- Manage SSO, SCIM provisioning, identity, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot platform, security, networking, and performance issues.
- Support adoption of Snowpark, Cortex AI, Iceberg Tables, and other Snowflake capabilities.
- Establish architecture standards, automation, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of cloud platform engineering/administration experience.
- 3+ years of Snowflake administration experience.
- Strong experience with Snowflake security, governance, data sharing, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure cloud services.
- Experience supporting data engineering, analytics, BI, or AI/ML workloads.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SnowPro certifications (Core, Administrator, or Architect).
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
- Knowledge of Snowpark, Cortex AI, Openflow, Native Apps, and Iceberg Tables.
- Experience with Databricks integration, FinOps, and cloud cost management.
- Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI, PII, HITRUST).
- Familiarity with Splunk, Datadog, and Azure Monitor.
